Case Study_
Hurst Joinery Projects and Hurst Doors collaborated
to supply a city’s social housing project with hundreds of
high-performance FD30 fire-rated doorsets. This included:
- Third party accredited composite fire doorsets for flat
entrances to enhance security for inhabitants.
- Q-Mark certified timber fire doorsets for store cupboards
and kitchens, ensuring fire safety throughout the
development.
Airports Case Study_
Hurst successfully delivered 23 bespoke doorsets for
a two-storey restaurant in Luton Airport’s departure
lounge. The project required:
- Q-Mark certified FD60 and FD30 fire doorsets, meeting
fire safety and compliance standards.
- Crown-cut oak veneer and laminate finishes, with all
ironmongery factory-installed.
- Expertise in live airport environments, with airside
passes, security clearance, and close coordination with
airport management to meet deadlines.
